The ILC (IP/Legal/Compliance) Team is Nota’s in-house legal department, overseeing intellectual property, legal affairs, and compliance. Our IP function protects the company’s core technologies through IP filings and issue response. The Legal function handles agreements, partnerships, and other key legal matters that shape the company’s financial future. The Compliance function minimizes risk across operations by developing and managing internal regulations and related policies.
📌 If You Join This Position
As a Senior In-house Counsel, you will work across IP, Legal, and Compliance domains. Beyond contract review, you will handle commercialization agreements in an AI startup environment, collaborate with business stakeholders, and deliver timely and strategic legal support. This role offers hands-on exposure to legal risk management, privacy, trade secrets, and compliance operations, enabling you to help shape the legal foundation of a fast-scaling tech company.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and support negotiations of domestic and international business contracts
- Provide internal legal advice and manage legal risks
- Establish and operate internal regulations and compliance policies, and conduct in-house legal training
- Review and support legal aspects of new business and major projects
- Address global legal issues and collaborate with international legal teams
✅ Qualifications
- 10+ years of practical experience
- Licensed attorney in Korea
- Experience in legal work related to AI technologies or industries
- No disqualifications under applicable laws or company policies
✅ Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in driving legal work and managing a legal team
- Qualification as a foreign attorney or experience in contracts and regulations based on common law systems (e.g., English law)
- Proficiency in business English for global collaboration
- Experience in compliance related to intangible assets such as data protection, intellectual property (IP), and copyright
